Three men are due to appear in court tomorrow charged with a string of armed robberies across the South.

Karl Liam Sidwell, 21, David Michael Ball, 21, and James Andrew Blair, 20 - who are all from the Coventry area - are each charged with conspiracy to commit armed robbery.

A fourth man - 22-year-old Scott Anthony Kenny - is still being hunted by police.

The three will appear before Portsmouth Magistrates Court on Friday morning.

The charges are related to an armed robbery in Gosport, one in Wiltshire and four in Dorset.

Detectives from the Eastern Serious and Organised Crime Unit, who are leading the investigation, are still seeking a fourth man in connection with the robberies.

Scott Anthony Kenny is also from Coventry and was thought to be in the New Milton area within the last couple of weeks.

Despite exhaustive inquiries and an appeal to find him, detectives are yet to trace him and are continuing their appeal to the public to help them locate him.

He is described as: white, 5ft 9ins tall of medium build. He has short mousey brown hair, blue eyes and speaks with a Midlands accent.

The robbery in Gosport happened on December 18, 2007 at the Co-op in Gregson Avenue.

The other robberies happened over an eight month period from March last year, in Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch and Salisbury.

Anyone with information as to his whereabouts is asked to contact Hampshire police immediately on 0845 045 45 45.
