Mystery man who tried to grab girls

THIS is the face of the man police are hunting after he tried to persuade two teenage girls to go home with him.

The man, believed to be aged between 45 and 50, approached the pair in Upper Market Street, Eastleigh, last month.

The friends, aged 15 and 16, were near the public toilets at the bus station when the man called over to them.

They walked towards him and he started a conversation, then went on to ask them to go home with him.

When they refused he attempted to grab at the 16-year-old's arm but they managed to run off to a nearby supermarket.

The suspect was white and about 6ft 2in. He had a bulky build and was wearing a beige jacket with jeans, looking casual. He had short grey hair which was receding, fairly small blue eyes, quite a rounded nose with big nostrils, average lips and round face with wrinkles.

He was clean shaven and he sounded local. Anyone with information about the incident on February 23 around 6.35pm, is asked to contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
