Police warn of risk from ‘Hillbilly’ drug
POLICE are warning the public about a prescribed drug called Oxycodone Hydrochloride that may be circulating and being misused in the Winchester area.
When mixed with illegal drugs it has the street name of Hillbilly.
Det Sgt Derek Hatch said: "Of course we would urge people never to take unprescribed or illegal drugs but we are especially concerned about the dangers associated with misusing this type of drug.
"I would like to reiterate that this drug should only be taken by those who have been prescribed it and under supervision of a doctor," he added.
If anyone has any information about the supply of drugs they should contact the police immediately on 0845 045 4545 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
