Schools across Hampshire went flipping crazy to celebrate Shrove Tuesday.

Youngsters from up and down the county made pancakes and took part in pancake races to mark the occasion.

Among those joining in the festivities were pupils from Norwood and Crescent Primary Schools, in Eastleigh, who went head to head in a series of races through the town centre.

Scores of shoppers stopped to cheer on the children, as they raced past the Sainsbury's supermarket, on Market Place.
