A cyclist has been hurt in a crash with a lorry in Hampshire this morning.

Emergency services are currently at the scene of the accident with happened about 6.35am.

South Central Ambulance Service sent a rapid response vehicle and an ambulance to the scene.

The cyclist, who is believed to be in his 30s, suffered a leg injury and was taken to the Royal Hampshire County Hospital in Winchester for treatment.

The accident happened at a roundabout at the junction of Bishopstoke Road and Chickenhall Lane in Eastleigh.

The road has now cleared.

A motorist who passed the scene this morning told the Daily Echo: "The cyclist was flat on his back by the side of the road, with two paramedics treating him.

"They were giving him air.

"There was a lorry parked up next to him, just off the roundabout and next to the petrol station, and the driver was out of the vehicle."
