IT was dinner with a difference.
A 'dinner in the dark' event was held in Eastleigh to raise money for charity Open Sight.
Diner Angie Warren said: "We had a lot of fun at the Eastleigh Dinner in the Dark in March.
"Paulo, Pauline and Christian from La Fenice looked after us all very well and provided some lovely food which we all tried to eat in dimmed light, no light or with blindfolds.
L-r Mayor of Fareham Susan Bayford, Mayor of Eastleigh Malcolm Cross, Mayoress of Eastleigh Suzie Cross, Paolo, Pauline and Cristian from La Fenice restaurant in Eastleigh.
"Surprisingly there were no spilled drinks or dropped plates but there was a fair amount of Tagliatelli Bolognese on the white table cloths at the end of the evening."
The evening not only raised awareness of everyday living with sight loss but also raised nearly £300 for Open Sight.
And by popular demand, Dinner in the Dark will be making a return in a restaurant near you.
