A PUBLIC meeting over flooding in the Upper Itchen valley has been postponed.

The Bramdean Flood Action Group was due to hold its first meeting in the village hall on Friday, September 19.

Several properties in the village near Alresford were flooded last winter and the A272 was closed for a month. But chairman Pippa Deakin-Stephenson said they were awaiting firmer proposals from Hampshire County Council and the Environment Agency on measures to counter the problem.

The meeting will be rescheduled for a date in October to be announced.
