THERE are still a few places left for a talk on a tall ships race.
Speakers will give a talk titled ‘Grown in Gosport’ at a curry lunch at The Boat House in Gosport Marina on October 21 at 12.30pm, where they will tell guests more about the Falmouth to Greenwich Tall Ships Regatta, pictured above, earlier this year that was organised in Gosport.
Mike Bowles, who directed it, will talk about the complexities of the event and Paul Bishop, head of racing for Sail Training International, will talk about the background to the Tall Ships Races, which have been running for nearly 60 years and have largely been organised by a small team of staff and volunteers in the town.
Tickets to the event, organised by the Gosport Marine Scene, cost £15.
