A DRUNKEN man climbed through a window to molest another resident at a home for vulnerable people, Southampton Crown Court heard.

Kieran Robinson, who had ignored her pleas to keep away, bit her through her clothing.

Terrified, she grabbed an aerosol in desperation but then another resident walked in and she ran off.

But that was not the end of the drama, said prosecutor Nicholas Tucker.

Robinson, whose drinking breached the Romsey house rules, later went into the living room where she was sitting and squeezed her rib cage.

She fled to a bathroom to lock herself in and he stood outside for 10 minutes kicking the door before he was arrested by police.

The victim told police his actions had left her feeling violated, worthless and though she had been thrown around like a dolly.

Said to be of previous good character, Robinson, 25, of Bachelors Farm Road, Andover, admitted indecent assault.

He received a 16 month suspended sentence with 12 months supervision and a 100 hour community service order. He was also placed on the sex offenders register for 10 years.

Andrea Becker, defending, said Robinson had been drinking heavily and was shocked and ashamed by his actions. “He told me he couldn't believe he could do anything like that.”

He had since been seeking help from agencies over his problems and had only drunk a couple of beers in the last few weeks.

Passing sentence, Judge Gary Burrell QC told him: “When you have too much alcohol, you're a social menace and if you continue to drink and behave like this, you will end up spending a long time in prison. You are still young and you have no relevant convictions but you must understand the suspended sntence is your last chance. What you did was unforgivable.”
