IT was all bright on the night at Hedge End.
To cheers from happy mums and dads and children, the Mayor of Eastleigh Tony Noyce, who was accompanied Carnival Queen Karri Killeen, switched on the Chistmas lights in the village at 6pm.
And of course holding centre stage was the man himself - Father Christmas - who had travelled specifically from the North Pole to be there.

Adding to the festive cheer on a raw winter's evening were the Wildern Choir, the Hedge End New Music Makers in costume, local boy scouts and other youth organisatkions.
