HAMPSHIRE Trading Standards have been made aware of several incidents regarding cold callers offering to do work on paths and driveways.
Callers are offering jobs at good prices have been reported in Totton, Rushington and other New Forest areas.
But trading standards officers are advising consumers not to agree to work that is instigated as a result of a cold call or via a leaflet drop.
They say consumers should obtain at least three written quotes from reputable businesses or traders who are either members of the Hampshire County Council Trading Standards Buy With Confidence Scheme or a recognised trade association.
