THE murder trial of two Eastleigh brothers is today entering its final phases.

The defence case for Jon McKinley closed this morning with the jury watching short clips of CCTV footage of Jon and his brother Sam in Eastleigh town centre an hour before the murder.

Jon McKinley, 23, of Devon Drive, Chandler's Ford, and Sam McKinley, 25, of no fixed abode, both deny the murder of Choudhry Zishan in Eastleigh High Street on March 30.

Mr Zishan, a 35-year old father of one, was on his way to work as a newsagent. He suffered severe head injuries.

Andrew Langdon QC, prosecuting, began his closing speech.

It will be followed by speeches by counsel for the defence and then the judge's summing up.
