HOMES and businesses in a Hampshire town have been hit by a powercut.
The fault is affecting 75 homes in the Chandler's Ford, it was caused by a fault in an underground cable and engineers from Scottish and Southern Energy are in the process of repairing it.
The powercut has hit homes in Bournemouth Road and Castle Lane who have been without electricity since 10.10am today.
A spokesmanfor SSE said power was expected to be restored at 8pm.
He added: “We would like to apologise to our customers for any annoyance and inconvenience this has caused we are doing everything we can to get the power back on as quickly and as safely as we can.”
