TWO hundred jobs are up for grabs as a controversial hotel at the heart of Hampshire cricket moves closer towards completion.

The 171-bed Hilton at the Ageas Bowl in West End is set to open in May and hundreds are expected to attend a recruitment open day at the ground to fill a host of roles from porters to catering.

The hotel has recruited some key positions already in the last couple of weeks including a deputy general manager and finance director and is currently looking for an executive head chef, revenue manager and human resources manager.

But it will be holding a recruitment open day on February 19 where it aims to fill 200 positions, both full-time and part-time.

Along with the total 250 staff needed, the hotel is also looking for others who might be able to join a bank of flexible workers brought in for large events.
