CLASSIC films provided the theme for a show of dance and cheerleading skills by a cast of 120 youngsters.

Two sell-out performances of Lights, Camera Action! at Hedge End’s Berry Theatre showcased the talents of the youngsters from Dance-A-Cality who performed routines to the music from screen blockbusters including Saturday Night Fever, Austin Powers, Grease, Avatar, Men in Black, Mission Impossible and Frozen.

The show was produced and directed by Lara Hallam, the founder of Dance-a-Cality which runs classes for young people in Hedge End and Locks Heath.

The dance school’s first appearance at a professional theatre raised £400 for the Silver Line, the advice and support line for senior citizens.

Silverline founder, Dame Esther Rantzen, had been due to attend the performance but had to pull out due to illness.
