EASTLEIGH Unwrapped is a fabulous free festival for all the family and takes place across Eastleigh town centre on Saturday June 13.

Now in it's third year this fun-filled day will offer plenty to amuse and delight and will boast two world premieres.

The first, Planetary by Pif Paf, features a giant hamster wheel with three acrobats spinning, catching, falling and flying.

The return of international circus company Scarabeus Aerial Theatre, meanwhile, will see the company present their new piece Be:Loved – a modern adaptation of Beauty and The Beast performed six metres in the air.

In addition, four artists supported by The Point, as part of its Associate Artist scheme, will also be performing at the extravaganza.

Join Search Party as they challenge the people of Eastleigh to a marathon game of Ping Pong in Search Party vs... Audience.

Here members are invited to compete against Search Party, to represent Eastleigh and support each other through thick and thin.

Two Destination Language present their new show 'Landed', which examines the state of finding yourself back on your feet after having been in love.

Where do you find yourself? Where has the madness of being in love taken you?

Working with the performers' own memories of the loves that passed them by, the loves that endured and those that still burn today, each experience is a glimpse of hope and the extraordinary in human nature.

Landed is performed for just one audience member at a time!

Solo dance artist Hayley Barker presents Show Girl/Girl on Show.

Tantalise your taste buds and enter the world of the show girl.

Show Girl is directed by Platform 4's Catherine Church with a live score by musical maestro Jules Bushell.

And finally Strange Arrangements will be taking to the streets with their piece Enter Hecate. Centuries after their encounter with Macbeth, the three witches have left their dark, dank cave in Scotland and gone in search of a new prophet.

They have travelled far and wide in their quest to seek out a new king or queen and the journey for one of them will end at the Eastleigh Unwrapped.

Owen Calvert-Lyons, Artistic Director of The Point and Festival Director said: “Eastleigh Unwrapped is one of the most exciting parts of our programme across the year and this year promises to be no different.

“We are delighted to welcome a range of companies including four of our supported artists to this year’s event who promise to deliver some stunning work that we hope will leave audiences wanting more.”

Pif Paf presents Planetary

Planetary is Pif-Paf’s latest bonanza of daredevil mischief as three strangers unlock the secrets of a mobile spinning world forged from metal pipe.

Come with them as they pick away at this vault of hidden truths, listening, spinning, flying, catching, falling, dusting themselves off and stepping back up.

They’re discovering unseen worlds of beauty and danger as they uncover some sneaky surprises and see how their lives are more entwined than they had ever imagined.

Scarabeus presents BE-LOVED
BE-LOVED - a stunning outdoor aerial production inspired by Angela Carter’s short story The Tiger’s Bride, a re-imagining of the Beauty and the Beast fairytale.

BE-LOVED portrays the intense emotions of first love with spectacular, physical aerial work and a visually striking set.

Max Calaf presents Any Day
Max’s home is his trampoline and he welcomes you into his world - one filled with chaos, hope, isolation and above all else, joy. From his trampoline, Max travels from town to town, always in the company of his “bird”. Join them in a poetic journey, full of highs and lows and follow them on their absurd and comic quest to find their freedom. Through the use of the trampoline, props and character, Any Day has a magical quality that transcends our expectations of what a 40-minute circus show can be.

Daily Echo:

Les Enfants Terribles presents Dr Longitude’s Marvellous Imaginary Menagerie
Are Bumblewasps poisonous? What do Whistling Pank’s eat? What happens when you lick a Tresillian Toad? Answer these and more pointless questions in a puppet-packed, ludicrously lyrical extravaganza from acclaimed creators of The Terrible Infants and The Trench. Packed with puppets, music and magic comes the world’s weirdest wonder emporium.

Daily Echo:

Glasshouse Dance presents You, Me & Everybody Else
A performance for all ages, the audience is taken on a journey that reflects the travel of a couple through their love and life– as they meet, fall in love, steal into middle age and grow old.

At times, comic and laugh-out-loud at others poignant and touching. The audience follows the ageing of the couple as their story unfolds.

Three duets set in three different locations across the town unfold to tell the story of a relationship seen at 25-year intervals.
