FORMER Saints player Jason Dodd celebrated the opening of two football pitches by hosting a five-a-side soccer tournament.
A multi-use games area at Knightwood Leisure Centre in Skys Wood Road, Chandler's Ford, has been transformed into a new football facility with a 3G surface.
The centre is owned by Test Valley Borough Council and run by Valley Leisure.
Dodd, 44, joined Southampton from Bath City in 1989 for a fee of £15,000. He later left Saints for Brighton & Hove Albion but returned as first team coach under manager George Burley in 2007.
He later became caretaker manager and then director/chief coach of the club's youth academy.
