A CASH MACHINE was 'blown up' by thieves in a raid last night.
The front of the cash machine is lying discarded on the ground and the door leading to the cashpoint is hanging open outside the Waitrose store in Chandler's Ford.
A local resident said that staff at Waitrose in Chandler's Ford had told her the machine, which sits right outside the store, had been "blown up" last night.
A footpath at the side of the store that leads from Waitrose towards the cashpoint and out onto Oakmount Road has been taped off at both ends and a PCSO is standing guard nearby.
The resident told the Daily Echo she understood cash had been taken.
Staff at the store were unable to comment when asked.
