A NEW fizzy festival is coming to Hampshire.

Indulging in sparkling wine and a selection of pink champagne, a two-day Prosecco festival is set to arrive in Eastleigh later this month.

As part of a 25-event tour spanning 12 locations nationwide, Prosecco Fest UK will visit the Trojans Club on Stoneham Lane from November 24 – 25.

The festival will offer 20 varieties of Prosecco as well as a selection of Cava, Brut and pink champagne.

Live music and DJs will also be provided across the festivals, on top of food and the drinks.

Jon Noonan, group sales director of Eventist Group, which is launching the festival, said the events had been launched to keep up with the growing demand of Prosecco.

He said: "We are in the midst of a Prosecco revolution with sales of the sparkling wine constantly on the rise.

"To meet this growing demand, we have introduced a new festival that will give guests the chance to meet fellow Prosecco lovers, learn about their favourite drink and sample an array of fantastic products.

"Prosecco Fest UK is the perfect way to celebrate the start of the festive season and a great opportunity for us to showcase our events expertise at a wide range of venues."

Revellers can also try out a variety of cocktails on offer as well as beer, wine and soft drinks.

Street food will be available, supplied by event caterers Tapenade.

Across the UK, 77 million litres of Prosecco was sold in 2016 and nearly two million photos were tagged with 'Prosseco' on social media site Instagram.

As well as visiting Hampshire, the festival will also visit other destinations including London, Manchester, Birmingham and Newcastle.

Tickets are priced at £12.50.
