A MAN has been charged following a crash on the M3 near Eastleigh on Sunday.
Paul Turton, from Quebec Road, Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire, has been charged with driving without due care and attention, and failing to provide a specimen.
As previously reported, emergency services were called to junction 12 on Sunday evening after reports of an overturned lorry on the southbound carriageway.
The vehicle damaged the road and barriers.
The lorry was carrying tonnes of paper at the time of the accident which caused the spillage of 150 litres of fuel across the carriageway.
Police and South Central Ambulance Service's hazardous area response team were also called to deal with the incident.
Turton is expected to appear at Southampton Magistrates’ Court this morning.
