A COMMUNITY building in Hedge End is to benefit from a major cash injection.
More than £50,000 from developers’ contributions has been granted for the renovation and refurbishment of Hedge End Youth and Community Association (HEYCA).
The building was formally a school and represents a significant part of Hedge End’s heritage, attracting customers from all sections of the community.
Town bosses said the building is in need of repair and have identified the upgrade of the drainage and the roof as top priority.
The grant was approved on March 12.
