POLICE will screen the DNA of almost 2,000 people in a bid to find the killer of a Hampshire grandmother, the Daily Echo can reveal.
Detectives will next week begin taking mouth swabs from dozens of men to compare against a DNA profile they believe belongs to the murderer of Georgina Edmonds.
The 77-year-old widow was tortured and bludgeoned to death in her cottage.
