BURGLARS struck four times in five days in the same Hampshire village.

Police are warning Hamble residents to ensure their windows and doors are locked after intruders made it into the rear of three properties and two mountain bikes were taken from a shed at a fourth house.

Homes in Broad Way and Hamble Lane were targeted late on Wednesday afternoon and a second property in Hamble Lane was burgled on Thursday.

Jewellery, cash and electrical items were taken from those houses and police revealed the two bikes were taken from a shed in Grantham Avenue overnight between Saturday, February 11 and Sunday, February 12.

Acting Detective Inspector Martin Myers warned burglars take tools from sheds to force entry into properties.
