iPhone theft at Southampton Airport

POLICE are hunting a thief who stole an iPhone 4S phone at Southampton Airport.

The owner was at the terminal’s Costa Coffee outlet when the device went missing on Monday morning.

I know it's an Iphone but is this really worth an article? Don't they have tracking on them anyway....

Yes the iPhone 4s have a feature called "find my phone" where you log into a website and it shows you the exact location of the device on a map, this can be disabled by the user, however if this is a built in feature I am sure it could be activated remotely. I think the echo must be short on news stories today......

Really? This is news? There's so little crime in the city that the theft of a single item worth £500 warrants a story?

I like how they felt the need to post a picture of an iPhone 4S, too.

Maybe this is the same thief who last week stole an iPad. The Echo felt the need to report that aswell.

Maybe the picture is like the new "subliminal advertising" in soaps on telly now, only with a pcture in the middle of the article. Maybe the Echo is getting paid for adding the picture!
