IT WAS a party they will remember for the rest of their lives – and they even raised cash for charity.
Hundreds of children from Sherborne House School in Chandler’s Ford dressed in red, white and blue in return for donating money to Wessex Cancer Trust for two days of Jubilee fun.
Each year group among the 255 pupils researched a decade of the Queen’s reign and presented key facts to the entire school. Activities included making crowns, dancing and making a giant Union Flag.
Parents joined in the fun to enjoy a traditional street party with their children.
Estelle Szasz, school administrator, said: “It was fantastic. You could just tell they were all getting into the feel of it and we even got emails from parents saying thank you because the big Jubilee party will stay with them for their lives.”
