Two people have been rescued from a house fire in Hedge End.

The blaze in the ground floor maisonette in The Close started at around 1.30pm.

Crews from Hightown Fire Station and Botley Fire Station are still battling the fire at the scene.

One person is being treated for injuries by South Central Ambulance Service.

The house is part of a terrace of six homes, and Hampshire Fire and Rescue say that the Fire and Emergency Support Service is on scene to help evacuated residents.
