Police on alert to stop leisure centre gang fight

POLICE were tonight on alert to stop a gang fight at a Hampshire leisure centre.

Officers were patrolling the area around the Knightwood Leisure Centre in Chandlers Ford after reports a group of youths was planning to gather for a fight.

Police took to social media websites to warn youngsters not to attend and said any offences would be dealt with “very robustly”.

Eastleigh police said they had “several units in the area” and had dealt with one incident of disorder near the leisure centre. A spokeswoman declined to give further details.

It would save having to pay for them to be kept in prison in a couple of years time. Better still sell tickets and give the proceeds to the nearest care home. They don't give a flying frig for their community so why should the community give one for them?

Detective Higginz was on the Chandler''''s Ford round last night, and didn''''t see anything untoward. An old woman, possibly lost, dropped a piece of her polo mint wrapping near the bus stop at the precinct. She won''''t be doing that again.
