A HAMPSHIRE doctor has been put in charge of overseeing patient care in Fareham and Gosport.
Dr Ian Reid, who has 29 years’ experience in geriatric medicine, has been appointed by the Fareham and Gosport Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) to take the role as secondary care representative on the governing body.
Next April CCGs will replace primary care trusts as the main commissioner of health services.
Dr Reid said: “I am very pleased to have the opportunity of working for a CCG that puts good patient care and clinical practice at the heart of what it does.”
