HEROES and villains will be taking to the streets as carnival fever hits a Hampshire town this weekend.
The popular Bishop’s Waltham Carnival and Show this Saturday will see a parade of classic and vintage cars through the streets of Bishop’s Waltham.
The procession will then lead on to an afternoon of family fun on the Hoe Road Recreation Ground.
Crowds will gather to welcome the heroes and villains-themed procession as it reaches the town square at around 11.30am, being led along by the Southsea Batala Band.
Prizes will be given out to the best floats.
Numerous stalls and attractions will be available when it reaches the recreation ground at midday, with more than 80 stalls, children’s rides and games and arena events.
Organisers the Rotary Club of Bishop’s Waltham are also expecting to have 100 classic and vintage cars and motorcycles on display on the field.
Other attractions include dog displays, musical performances, a barbecue, a spit roast and a beer tent.
The carnival will be raising funds for a number of local good causes.
