YOUNG people across Hampshire will have the chance to expand their skill set for free.

There will be two weeks of summer events open to 11 to 17-year-olds including scuba diving, laser quest and gladiator jousting.

The Access All Areas programme is open to all young people who live or go to school in Winchester or Fareham.

Councillor Arthur Mandry said: “This is a great opportunity for young people to come and have a go at some fun activities for free, that they might not usually have the chance to do.

“They can come along to as many events as they like, whether they live in Fareham or Winchester, so there’s no excuse for summer holiday boredom.”

The programme has also partnered with bus companies First and Stagecoach to offer young people free transport to and from the events, which will run from 11am-3pm each day.

Activities vary from quad biking, archery and driving lessons, to Music Fusion workshops, henna tattooing and crazy golf. There will also be a free barbecue at all the events.

Those interested will need to register at saferwinchester.co.uk or saferfareham.co.uk.
