A HAMPSHIRE MP has welcomed a rise in discretionary income.
Gosport MP Caroline Dinenage was commenting on the latest Asda Income Tracker which showed that for the month of August the average family had £172 per week they could spend on non-essential goods and services after they had paid out for taxes and necessities like food and accommodation.
Caroline said it was good news for households across Gosport, adding: “That additional money will make a real difference to families, reducing the pressure.”
The Income Tracker is based on research by the Centre for Economic and Business Research.
