Karl’s fiancée, Amanda Collins, says she is “frantic” with worry about her partner after he was due to return home to St Anne’s Grove, Fareham, on Sunday evening for his son’s third birthday on Monday.

Amanda, 30, said: “Karl and I had been due to put up banners and balloons around the house on Sunday evening when he got back so Lenny would wake up on Monday morning to find them as a surprise.

“But his mum told me at about 5.15pm that Karl would not be home that night because he had gone missing in Prague.

“I am just really, really worried. For him to miss our son’s birthday is really worrying.”
