FAMILY and friends of a Hampshire man missing in Prague hope they can mark his birthday by finding him safe and well.

Fareham man Karl Law, 35 today, disappeared on November 15 during a stag weekend, prompting the father-of-one's family to hire a private detective to try and track him down.

Police confirmed sightings of him on November 16 at Palacky Square and the following day in the area of the National Theatre, but since then he has not been seen.

His cousin Steve Stock posted on Facebook: “This man is loved by so many people, most of all by family and close friends.

“We are heartbroken, we need Karl home, Karl really is one in a million.

“If any of you ever get to meet him you will be honoured and know exactly what I mean.

“We love you Karl, come home.”

Daily Echo:

Steve, who has been searching in the Czech city, discovered the body of a stranger in the hunt for Karl.

He admitted that he is worried Karl may have “cracked” and lost his mind, but the family are continuing to search for him.

More than 14,000 people have joined the Facebook group in an attempt to track Karl down, and scores posted messages of support.

Maxine Nicol wrote: “My birthday is tomorrow and what I would like for my birthday is for Karl to be found safe and well and reunited with his family who love and miss him very much.”

A spokesman from the British Embassy told the Daily Echo they would continue to offer support for the family.
