MORE delays are building on a Hampshire motorway this morning after another pile-up.

Four people have been injured in the four-vehicle crash on the M27.

Two people were taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth with back injuries while two were treated at the scene for minor injuries.

The incident involving a Peugeot 206, a Volkswagen Polo, a white Mercedes Box Van and a Ford Transit happened about a mile before the junction leading westbound towards Whiteley and Segensworth.

Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance had been called to the scene near junction 9 but was called away when it was not deemed necessary.

Some drivers took up to two hours to make journeys from Park Gate to junction 3.

It happened just three hours after a six-car pileup on the M3 which led to delays of more than an hour across the county.

It is not clear what injuries were caused in the crash.
