POLICE are hunting a motorcyclist who assaulted a man on the roadside.

The 19-year-old victim was a passenger in a van heading down Cuckoo Lane, in Fareham, when a motorbike reportedly cut in front of it.

Both vehicles pulled over on Titchfield Road after the van driver sounded his horn.

The passenger got out and the motorcyclist then assaulted him, leaving him with a chipped tooth and swelling to the face.

The suspect is described as a white man, about 5ft 8ins tall, in his early 20s and of average build.

He was wearing black bike leathers, black helmet and black gloves.

PC Kerry Needham, of Gosport Police, said: “This was an unprovoked attack and any help in identifying this man would be appreciated. With your help, I hope we can get him to answer for his behaviour.

“Were you in the area of Titchfield Road on Friday morning?
