THE family of a missing man have made an emotional appeal for information.

Kieran Smith has now been missing for a week and dozens of volunteers have been helping police in their efforts to find him.

The 24-year-old was last seen at home in Harcourt Road, Fareham, at midday last Tuesday.

His friends and family have been searching woodland around the Fareham area to try and find him.

His mother, Linda Payne, has issued a fresh appeal for anyone who has information to get in touch.

Speaking in a television interview, she said: “If he feels he's in trouble for anything, or he's in debt for anything and he's worried about anything, it doesn't matter.

“We can sort anything out that's any problem, we can sort it out at home.

“Even if you have to text anonymously or phone anonymously and you know where he is or he is with you please just let us know.

“We need to know he's safe.”

Kieran, a labourer, is described as white, about 5ft 6in, with brown hair and blue eyes.

He was last seen wearing a navy blue woollen hoodie, a blue T-shirt, grey jogging bottoms and white baseball boots.

A police spokesman said: "We are continuing to appeal for help to trace a missing Fareham man. Please keep sharing this post.

"His family are very concerned and are asking for Kieran to get in touch."

Anyone with information should call Hampshire police on 101.
