A PLAY area will be ready for the summer holidays after a £70,000 refurbishment.
The King George V park in Fareham will have new equipment, benches and picnic tables installed following suggestions from pupils at Locks Heath Junior School and feedback from a questionnaire.
The play area will be closed for the duration of the work, which will begin in the middle of May and is expected to last into June.
Fareham borough councillor Connie Hockley said: “The children have had some great ideas that have helped us come up with a final design for the King George V play area.
“It’s really important that local young children get involved with this so that they can benefit from their suggestions and have fun.”
