A HELICOPTER was dispatched over a Hampshire town last night after gunshots were fired.
It was joining Hampshire Constabulary armed police who descended on the Portsdown Hill near Fareham.
A manhunt was launched following reports of shots being fired near Mick’s Monster Burgers and Fort Widley at about 5.20pm.
Six people have since been arrested.
They remain in custody this morning.
Other arrests were made at addresses including Fairfield Avenue.
Meanwhile a man was being treated for minor injuries at Queen Alexandra Hospital, in Cosham.
It is understood he did not have gunshot wounds.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting Operation Heka.
