TWO men repeated punched and kicked another man in his face and ribs in an unprovoked attack.
The 20-year-old victim needed hospital treatment for his injuries after being set upon by two men as he was walking home along Gosport Road, in Stubbington.
He was taken to the Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth where he had treatment for severe bruising to his ribs and some minor facial injuries.
Police, who said his was a rare occurrence for the area and have no clear motive for what they described as a “vicious” attack, say a number of vehicles passed by during the incident and are calling for witnesses to come forward.
Anyone who can help with information on the assault, which happened on Saturday between 1.30am and 2.15am, is asked to call 101 quoting 44150173821.
