YOUNGSTERS got a kick out of meeting champion cage fighter and TV personality Alex Reid when he visited a Hampshire gym.
The former winner of Celebrity Big Brother put a class of children, aged between five and 12, through their paces at Gosport Martial Arts.
As well as passing on fitness tips and some tips and striking and blocking the 39-year-old talked at length with the children and their parents and signed autographs.
The gym in Forton Road, was opened by Dale Tappenden earlier this year.
Dale, 47, has been involved in martial arts for 30 years and is a friend of Alex – who was married to two years to celebrity model Katie Price (aka Jordan).
“Alex is a really nice genuine guy. He spent about an hour with the kids. As a result of the event we’re getting a lot more calls from the community about our classes,”said Dale.
The gym which offers tuition in Thai boxing, women's-only kick boxing, mixed martial arts and fitness classes has just started a new Thursday evening Thai-Jitsu class for children.
