EMERGENCY services had to rescue a man from the Solent this morning after they were seen jumping into the water.
Gosport and Fareham Insure Rescue Service were called after receiving reports that someone had jumped from Clarence Wharf in Gosport at 3.18am.
But he was rescued by police before lifeboats were launched.
The man was taken to hospital by ambulance.
The incident was the 46 th that Gosport and Fareham Rescue Service have been called to this year.
