POLICE are investigating a spate of car thefts in a Hampshire town.
Six cars in Fareham were broken into overnight between August 13 and 14.
Three cars were targeted in Three Ways Close, one in Tawny Owl Close, one in The Oaks and also one in Anker Lane.
Police have issued advice to vehicle owners in the area to deter thieves. This includes checking vehicles after locking them and also alerting neighbours who may not know that car thieves are operating in the area.
If anyone saw anyone acting suspiciously they are urged to call 101.
