A LEADING cinema chain is set to create more than 35 jobs by opening a new theatre in Hampshire.

Cineworld hopes its nine-screen theatre, which will also include a Baskin Robbins, will open its doors in November.

An open day is being held to allow prospective employees to find out more about the complex, which will be at Whiteley Shopping Centre.

The firm says the day will offer residents the opportunity to find out more about the available jobs, ask questions, and apply for positions.

Cineworld general manager Martin Floyd said: “I’m really excited to be a part of this new project and am looking forward to opening Whiteley’s first cinema.

“Cineworld is a great company to work for, with fantastic career prospects. We encourage local people to come down to the open day to find out more and hopefully join our team.”

The open day will be held from 10m until 4pm at the Solent Hotel on Rookery Avenue, Whiteley, on Saturday, September 12.
