A MAN left fighting for life after a crash on the M27 has died.
The 20-year-old from Bitterne, Southampton, died from injuries suffered after a car flipped onto its roof, police confirmed today.
He was the backseat passenger of a blue Vauxhall Corsa travelling eastbound on the M27 between Fareham and Portsmouth when it was involved in the smash at around 11.15pm last Sunday, June 26.
The car overturned with three people inside.
The man from Bitterne died on Wednesday, police said.
The driver, also 20, suffered serious injuries and was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital. He has since been discharged.
A 19-year-old man, the front seat passenger, was cut from the vehicle by firefighters and was taken to Southampton General Hospital with a serious head injury. His condition is currently described as stable.
Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit would like to hear from anyone who saw the incident or the blue Corsa prior to the crash.
