IT TOOK just a lick of paint and a dash of creativity to transform an eyesore into a sight for sore eyes for Hampshire pensioners.
Rather than being forced to look out over a dusty building site, residents at Hawthorne Court Nursing Home in Sarisbury Green are now enjoying a vista full of butterflies and birds, that never fails to raise a smile.
Whiteley-based construction company, Morgan Ashurst, teamed up with a group of young artists to paint a colourful mural on the hoardings that surround the building of the new Fareham Community Hospital in Coldeast Way.
Chris Dowle, from Morgan Ashurst, said: “We always take the utmost care to limit the impact that our work has on people living near our construction sites.
“The mural looks fantastic and we hope the residents enjoy seeing it every day.”
