Pedestrian hit as car drives on pavement

A MAN was hit by a BMW after the driver veered on to a pavement in a Hampshire town.

The 30-year-old victim, who was part of a group of five men, miraculously escaped unharmed when he was struck by the black vehicle outside Motor World in Stoke Road, Gosport.

Shortly after the incident a man was spotted getting into the car, which was being driven by a white male in his 40s. The car then headed off towards the town centre.

Police have now launched an investigation into the “dangerous driving” incident, which happened on January 24 at 7pm. Call police on 101.
