If he was hard working and popular, then perhaps he was let down by his council oppo's who allowed the bins to go uncollected for 20 odd weeksvand whose self prfessed radical plan was to tell householders to take their rubbish to the tips. Weren't we 'all in it together' in the queues to the dump eh. Honestly!

Still, I maintain there is no difference between the parties except the colour of their rosette, and of the few people who did vote, how many even bothered with policies? Most people I know vote for the party label, they would still vote for the candidate labelled as "Conservative" or "Labour" or whatever, irrespective of policy. Democracy? Is it really the best system money can buy? Or is just an illusion, deluding the public that they have a say in who runs the city/county/country? Seems 70% of us don't think so!
