FAREHAM Borough Council is to launch a new anti-litter campaign.
As part of the campaign, publicity activity will be taking place which include promotions on litter lorries and freebies to help residents dispose of chewing gum and cigarettes responsibly.
The campaign is being launched in a bid to change behaviour and people’s attitudes to the way they dispose of rubbish.
Councillor Tiffany Harper, executive member for Streetscene on Fareham Borough Council, said: “Most people dispose of their rubbish responsibly but like any area, Fareham does have litter hot spots and we can always do better.
“By highlighting the damage caused by littering we hope to encourage more people to do the right thing.”
