THE M27 was blocked after a vehicle overturned in the carriageway.
The incident happened on the westbound carriageway of the road near Fareham, and is causing lengthy delays.
A driver told the Daily Echo that an ambulance, firefighters and police were at the scene.
There are also reports that a vehicle heading eastbound hit the central reservation on the same section of road.
It is not known if anyone has been injured in either crash.
The M27 westbound reopened at about 10am.
