YOUNG men in Thornhill will have access to sexual health advice for another year after £10,000 funding has been allocated.
The Hampshire Youth Options group missed out on cash at Thornhill Plus You’s Your Health, Your Community, Your Vote £100,000 giveaway by one vote.
But due to an underspend on projects last year with the Government cash earmarked for health projects, the scheme was given funds to continue for another year.
Chris Allcock, services manager, said the money would continue to fund a part-time support worker to help young men through sessions at Woodlands Community School, Thornhill Youth Centre and the Condom and Sexual Health (CASH) Clinic in Thornhill.
“It was great that we have secured funding for another year for this, especially as we only lost out by one vote,” he said.
